Adolescent Therapy
Adolescence is a transitional period of development where both physical and psychological changes are negotiated. It is a turbulent phase and brings with it its own stresses and concerns, for parents as well as the adolescents themselves.
If an adolescent is struggling in any area psychotherapy can assist him or her in negotiating difficult and painful problems which may be holding them back from their full potential. Some problems encountered during adolescence are eating disturbances, peer pressure, exam stress, confusion regarding identity, differences in behaviour at school/home, obsessive behaviours and self harm.
While adolescence presents with its own stresses and strains, it is also a rich time of development where positive, effective and long lasting changes can be made.
Diana Constantinou offers psychotherapy with adolescents and can be contacted here or via her website.
